Iran was Free Until The Dictatorship

Aynaz Anni Cyrus talks about how Iran was free until the Islamic Dictatorship took over. There is a reason why Cyrus states she was raised in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Why? Because Iran was not always an Islamic country. In fact, before 1979, Iran was known as the "mini America in the Middle East."

If you go into your search console and type 'Iran before,' you can find thousands of photos of what Iran once was. During this time, Iran was ruled over by King Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Shah. However, this monarchy copied the American Constitution (minus the Second Amendment), instating it as law. Iranians were living like Americans, with the freedoms that come with it. However, this all changed with the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who took over the revolution, promised free housing and care for those who aided him. In 90 days, Khomeini took away all the freedoms that the constitutional monarchy had and turned it into the Islamic Republic of Iran. They erased the cultural history of Iran. Although the people of Iran are fed up, they have yet to retake their country to this day.
