The FBI is investigating claims from the Trump campaign that hackers linked to the Iranian government targeted them. The FBI confirmed the probe without naming Trump or Iran. A campaign spokesperson stated foreign entities hostile to the US unlawfully obtained the documents. Iranian officials denied involvement, and the US government has not formally accused Iran. The FBI is also looking into incidents where hackers targeted members of the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris campaign. This statement from the Trump campaign followed a report by Microsoft revealing Iranian hackers targeted an unnamed US presidential candidate in June.
