Are we a science experiment from outer space? Let’s break it down
Scientists are still searching for new ways to deny God's direct involvement in our creation, going so far as to create an idea called “panspermia.” The hypothesis proposes that life existed elsewhere in the universe and made its way to earth via meteorites and comets.
There’s no better way to impart value and meaning in a person than to tell them we’re the result of a UFO emptying its lavatory over a dead planet.
By turning to the Bible, however, we’re given a direct explanation of our existence: in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He made the host of heaven, all the plants, and animals, and, as the crowning achievement of his creation, mankind.
We are all born with this understanding, as God has placed eternity in our hearts, but humanity suppresses the knowledge of the truth so that they can live as sinfully as they choose.
But ideas have consequences. Over the past several years, there has been a drastic increase in suicides. Without a god in whom people can believe, they find no ultimate purpose resorting to a permanent solution for a temporary problem.
This is the conclusion of a worldview which devalues our creation as a cosmic accident. But the Gospel of Christ can remedy the tragic turn culture has taken because you were created by God with a special purpose - to make him supremely valuable.
So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do - do all to the Glory of God.
