Blocking A Election Integrity Bill
At the last minute, Georgia's Governor Brian Kemp and Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan, blocked an Election Integrity Bill. This bill would have tightened up the state's widely criticized election process.
This bill would have helped deter fraud in upcoming elections. This bill SB89 had the support of the Republican House and Senate, this also included the Speaker of the House and Senate President Pro Tempore, Butch Miller. The bill was just a one-minute vote away from passage when Duncan blocked it.
