Trump Is ‘Encouraging’ DOJ to Release Search Warrant that Led to Raid

Following the raid at Mar-a-Lago, President Trump is “encouraging the immediate release” of the search warrant that lead to the raid.

Trump shared in a tweet that he will not stop “ENCOURAGING the immediate release” of the warrant and documents, even though he considers the raid to be unwarranted and baseless.

It has been reported that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a motion to unseal parts of the warrant.

The U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland’s DOJ reported a “substantial public interest” in the motion.

Trump’s legal team was contacted by the justice department to find out if they would try to stop the Department’s filing to unseal the warrant.

This action was ordered by Florida Judge Bruce Reinhart, who initially approved the warrant.

CNBC reported that media companies also filed a motion to unseal the search documents and “all probable cause affidavits filed in support of the search warrant.” READ MORE...
