Hamas Is Very Busy in Israel and in America

Hamas, while busy firing rockets into Israel is quietly very active in the United States. As far back as 2003 Canadians arrested a man who later pled guilty to charges of trying to kill Israelis while they were in America. He also pled guilty to trying to kill Jewish leaders in America and Canada. At the same time, an accused Hamas money man was arrested as authorities caught his wife videoing key components integral to the structure of the Chesapeake Bay bridge. Since Mr. Elbarasse was announced as a co-conspirator in the finance of Hamas terrorist attacks, one might think about the serious alarms of his wife's activities.

If an American-based Al Quaeda operative was charged with comparable offenses, the coverage would be ongoing. In the case of Mr. Ellbarasse, the press ended in a couple of days.

The influence of the threat of Hamas in America is only misguided and dangerous. Hamas has long spoken of expanding to include American targets and continues to align itself with Syria and Iran. It is well known that America serves as a fertile base of funding for the organization. The FBI is also concerned that they have enough strength in America to carry out terrorist attacks. But, let's put this into perspective. These words were written almost 20 years ago. It was also apparent back then that Al Queada was enlisting Hamas members to conduct surveillance of American targets. This should come as no surprise given the history of animosity of Hamas toward America.
