Two years ago, in the middle of covid, Kathryn's dad was trying to come back up north from Arizona. He was alone in a nursing home and couldn't get back to see his family. But then, Veterans Airlift Command stepped up and gave him a free flight to honor his status as a World War 2 veteran. There are millions of veterans out there, and thousands of them can't visit family or return home due to poverty, PTSD, or injury.
